jiggy

Jiggy got given a tape 18 years ago, The Prodigy- Experience! Guess i was hooked from that
moment on. The drums, the bass, the synths, it all just made sense and its been a journey ever since
discovering new music and meeting some great people along the way. I live in East Yorkshire and I
remember listening to Easyflow, Connect and Poison back here in Hull watching them blend old
school beats up proper and knew that it was something i wanted to pursue.
I Saved up and bought some sort of a setup, ropey belt drive jobs they were. And a box of
random tunes and set up the in loft. On a makeshift ironing board table if i recall. Spents months

teaching myself to beat match properly and the rest they say is history

Dozer

Dozer’s first exposure to raving was a night called Legends of the Dark Black at the Zap club in Brighton in 97 and 98 whilst at uni.  There, he saw DJs such as Grooverider and Andy C and soon became hooked to the sounds of producers like Bad Company and Ed Rush & Optical.

He started DJing in early 2002, and played at his first rave, Pure Jungle at SE1, in late 2003, and also started playing on the lifefm.tv radio station that same year.  He formed the Healing Crew with JRS & Mel De’Vil around the same time, and they linked up with Essence of Chi, then became residents in 2004.

During the 2000s, he played at legendary London venues such as The End, Plan B, Ministry of Sound, Rhythm Factory, Bar Rumba, Herbal and The Scala, as well as in many other Cities up and down the UK.  He moved to the famous London pirate radio station, www.rudefm.com in 2006 with the Healing Crew, and did a 5 year stint until 2011.

Dozer developed a love of House and Techno around 2005, and his passion or this music took over around 2011.  He started djing on Guildford community station www.kanefm.com in 2013 alongside friend and fellow DJ Subterra. He also played a number of House and Techno gigs over the next few years, the highlight of which was playing at Cubed in Reading in 2014 and 2015, alongside Justin Martin and Paul Woolford.

Dozer continues to nurture his love of Jungle and Drum and Bass by recently returning to the fray with sets at Moondance and the freshly relaunched Essence of Chi.

blaze

Jungle , Drum & Bass

I was 13/14 years old & my cousin studied at Manchester University at the time. I remember him coming home with a mixed tape from the legendary Stu Allan (who used to play on Piccadilly/Key 103 FM at the time) and I remember hearing the tunes in the car…and I was like “what is this!?!?!” –
I fell in love with the music straight away. Next step was scouring the FM dials for as many pirates as I could and just recording, recording & more recordings of sets. I was lucky living in London which
meant getting the likes of Don FM, Pulse, Powerjam & Green Apple. But the tunes were never complete as they were always mixed in, so it was a case of going out to start buying the records. I was lucky enough to go up to Manchester and remember purchasing my first record from a record
shop called Eastern Bloc (The Psychopaths – Beats & Culture). My vinyl collecting days had begun and it was then weekly trips to my local record shop (Vinylmania) and monthly trips to London (Blackmarket, Unity etc) until I landed a job on a market stall selling vinyl…never got paid in £££’s but I was given 4/5 records each week as payment….best job I ever had!!!! With all the vinyl I had, the natural progression was to buy some 1210’s and learn how to start mixing…opened up a whole new world for me….the rest, as they say, is history!

Max e Groove

Deep Tech,Trance

In 1995 myself and a friend (Dj Gino) were asked if we would like to do a mixed CD for a local label RW records. We recorded the cd ‘HOT WEEKEND AMSTERDAM’ as the Funky Fakirs. The launch party was in Amnesia (Ibiza) in the same summer and then later in the same year we performed at Space.

Upon returning from Ibiza I got a residency in one of Amsterdam’s largest bar/coffee shops The Grasshopper. Playing 4 nights a week from Thursday till Sunday with a mix of Deep funky housey sets on Thursdays and Sundays and Club, Trance and Hard House sets on Fridays and Saturdays, thus developing a taste for all kinds of house music and becoming a very diverse Dj.
I was resident Dj at The Grasshopper for Two and half years.

I have been playing for the last 4 years each year on Queensday (the dutch queens birthday) at THE OTHER PLACE official coffee shop from the Hells Angels Amsterdam; it boasts a 10k sound system on the canal in the middle of the red light area. Entertaining over 4000 people and displaying their awesome collection of Harley’s and giving free boat rides on the Amsterdam canals. Seeing is believing.

As well as doing the rounds in Holland I have been out to play in Indonesia twice. And am doing a tour of Jakarta, Surabaya and Bali.

I had a residency in a club in Israel-Hayotzer (The Creator) where I perform once a month. I have just completed a track for the club, which has been licensed to a big Dutch label.

In June of 2001 I played at AFTER HOUR POWER LA (see attached pictures). Or visit www.afterhourradio.com to hear live Dj sets and see pictures. Also in July 2002 I was back to the US to play at Baby’s Nightclub in Las Vegas and again at The Palace in Hollywood.

In March of 2002 I played in Kiev at Club Ultra. I am currently in negotiation with the club to set up my own night bringing the UK sound to the Ukraine starting in June called ‘LONDONS CALLING’ bringing upcoming Dj talents to club Ultra and other outdoor events.
I also played at another ‘HOT WEEKEND’ party in Rio De Janeiro which is the build up to another CD launch in the same series, this party was in a samba school with 3 dance arena’s and I was playing the main arena.

I have also played at party’s at the Berlin Love Parade four years running ’98, ’99, 00 & 2001. Occasionally doing gigs in Benidorm (Amnesia) ’99 & 2000.

I have been producing my own tracks in Holland together with two different producers in two studios. I have released two tracks with Rhythm Import label in Holland- Grooves of All Grooves-as Max-E-Groove (Fresh Flavour 008) (reached 12 in the dutch dance charts and stayed in the top 30 for 8 weeks) and WATERG8-as RUFFGROOVE (Move the Crowd 023).

Since moving to London I have been involved in a few studio projects as well as playing in London for promoters of Twisted, Knowwhere, Heat, Cookies and Cream, Slinky but to mention a few.
I was also resident for Knowwhere @ The Fridge in Brixton and Heaven together with Paul Brooksby as Funk-A-Tronic. Playing our own brand of funky pumpin groovey tech house.
Since 2009 I have had my weekly show Deep Tech Sessions Playing the Freshest in Deep, Tribal Funked up Tech house. With many gigs all over London.
Tune in every Friday Since March of 2016 I've been back out playing my 2nd Home country holland.
